Welcome to ToonTown!

Hi. My name is James K. Gunn. I'm a former animation student, and aspiring animation historian from Brisbane, Australia. I've always loved cartoons, but it wasn't until I was 11-years-old when I saw Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) that I became the animation enthusiast and super fan I am today.

I'm especially passionate about the Golden Age of Animation (cartoons from 1930s, 40s, 50s and 60s)... but I'm also a fan, but I'm someone who's a fan of ALL animation and film in general.

For years I’ve been yapping on social media about my knowledge and thoughts on the history of animation and pop-culture, but now I’m devoting a blog to my more in-depth analysis. This blog will mainly focus on Animation's Golden Era, but I will also occasionally talk more modern animation and live-action film as well.

I hope this blog is entertaining and well as informative.
